چکیده

Standard oneand two-population models for evolutionary games are the limit cases of a uniparametric family combining intraand intergroup interactions. Our setup interpolates between both extremes with a coupling parameter κ. For the example of the hawk-dove game, we analyze the replicator dynamics of the coupled model. We confirm the existence of a bifurcation in the dynamics of the system and identify three regions for equilibrium selection, one of which does not appear in common oneand two-population models. We also design a continuous-time experiment, exploring the dynamics and the equilibrium selection. The data largely confirm the theory.

Vehicle Routing Problem in Competitive Environment: Two-Person Nonzero Sum Game Approach

Vehicle routing problem is one of the most important issues in transportation. Among VRP problems, the competitive VRP is more important because there is a tough competition between distributors and retailers. In this study we introduced new method for VRP in competitive environment. In these methods Two-Person Nonzero Sum games are defined to choose equilibrium solution. Therefore, revenue giv...

Forward-looking behavior in Hawk-Dove games in endogenous networks: Experimental evidence

In this paper, we present the experimental results of our investigation of network formation and the distribution of actions in a population of players whose members may select their partners in a bilateral 2x2 Hawk-Dove base game. In the population game, exploitive Hawk behavior leads to inefficiency while cooperative Dove behavior leads to efficient outcomes. The experiment was conducted in c...

Separating the Hawks from the Doves: Evidence from continuous time laboratory games

Human players in our laboratory experiment received flow payoffs over 120 seconds each period from a standard Hawk-Dove bimatrix game played in continuous time. Play converged closely to the symmetric mixed Nash equilibrium under a one-population matching protocol. When the same players were matched in a two-population protocol with the same bimatrix, they showed clear movement towards an asymm...

Equilibrium Selection under Limited Control - An Experimental Study of the Network Hawk-Dove Game

For games of simultaneous action selection and network formation, gametheoretic behavior and experimental observations are not in line: While theory typically predicts inefficient outcomes for (anti-)coordination games, experiments show that subjects tend to play efficient (non Nash) strategy profiles. A reason for this discrepancy is the tendency to model corresponding games as one-shot and de...

Debunking van Enk-Pike's criterion for quantum games

S. J. van Enk and R. Pike in PRA 66, 024306 (2002), argue that the equilibrium solution to a quantum game isn’t unique but is already present in the classical game itself. In this work, we debunk this assertion by showing that a random strategy in a particular quantum (Hawk-Dove) game is unique to the quantum game. In other words the equilibrium solution of the quantum Hawk-Dove game can not be...
